For our partner, a fast-growing company with multiple software and infrastructure projects running in parallel, with great teams situated in Romania, France, Switzerland, Spain and the UK we are looking for a DevOps Manager.
Required traits and experience
Relevant team management experience
Strong, a self-driven leader with demonstrated ability to proactively drive, manage and grow an Operations Team
Proven ability to manage multiple, competing for priorities simultaneously
A naturally helpful and communicative person who loves solving problems
Ability to respond professionally in crisis situations while maintaining transparency
Linux power user: Very good systems administration knowledge of, and work experience with Linux, Debian/CentOS, MySQL, bash, networking
Knowledge of monitoring systems concepts, operations, maintenance, workflows, reports, analysis, improvements, automation, templating – so on and so forth – for both state and trend types of monitoring
Experience with at least one version control system (preferably Git)
Experience of Continuous Integration (preferably Jenkins)
Automation tools, i.e. Ansible, Saltstack
Virtualization solutions like Vagrant, XenServer, Docker
Knowledge of AWS
Proficient in English.
Preferred, though not required, experience
Python experience
Infrastructure Automation experience, terraform preferred
Experience with NoSQL systems like Redis, Couchbase, Cassandra
Experience with high availability setups (keepalive, heartbeat)
Responsibilities:
People management of the Operations team (DevOps Engineers and L1 Support);
Overall responsibility for ensuring the availability of our production systems;
Incident Management and resolution;
Championing the timely resolution of issues in production
Owning end-to-end service delivery and planning, which includes infrastructure, staffing models, resource hiring, and optimizing utilization
Establish measurement, reporting, and delivery management processes for effective accomplishment of goals
Own the creation, update, and maintenance of Standard Operation Procedures
Dissemination of knowledge amongst the team including onboarding and regular training
Drive strategic business decisions by influencing key stakeholders/ category leaders using data and structured analysis
Operational Analysis (learning & understanding the business domain + monitor business domain metrics)
