UI/UX Designer

The position:

As the UI/UX Designer in the Avira Connect Unit you will be the Digital Design specialist for the my.avira.com self-service front-end. You will be working closely with the Unit Lead and the Product Manager on the design and user experience of the online presence of one of the most successful software security companies in the world. Your work will touch nearly 100 million users and will be showcased in almost all countries across the world.

As a UI/UX Designer in the Avira Connect Unit, you will:

Work on constantly improving the customer self-service application (my.avira.com) and in-product purchase experience
Create a wide array of material, like cart pages, banners, images compositions
Bring your contribution to the unified Avira design system
Provide multiple types of deliverables, including wireframes, diagrams and final mockups
Conduct usability testing experiments and adjust the user experience based on the conclusions
Work closely with front-end developers and product managers to create intuitive web interactions
Propose improvement suggestions based on own research and gathered feedback

Your Profile:

Be able to show a comprehensive portfolio of recent UI and UX projects
Have a good understanding of web development tools and techniques
Be product-oriented and also able to see the big picture
Be a good communicator and have a “can do”, problem solving attitude
Possess solid knowledge about user-centric design principles and have the ability to translate user design issues into clean and understandable solutions
Be a proficient user of Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or related design tools
Have 2+ years of experience in online or product design
Very good English communication skills
Have a positive attitude towards new ideas and suggestions
