    Essential:

    Minimum 5 years SQL Server Development Experience
    SQL Server
    Database Design & Development
    Ability to create, review and analyse complex stored procedures, views
    SQL/T-SQL skills to interrogate/manipulate/create test data
    Experience working with SSRS and develop/troubleshoot complex reports code
    SQL Server performance tuning and optimisation
    SQL Server Replication, Security, Profiler
    Basic knowledge of Windows Server operating system Administration
    A good understanding of the Application Lifecycle and a solid understanding of Quality Assurance, Database Engineering and Build and deployment
    Strong problem-solving skills
    Advanced/Proficient on English language both verbal and written communication

    Desired:

    Responsabilitati

    Work with the Development team to
    Deliver high quality SQL code with a commitment to encourage those around you to do the same
    Solve complex problems and takes a broad perspective to identify solutions that may not already exist
    Assist the IT Development Manager with design documentation as needed
    Deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment where multiple competing requirements are a part of the job
    Assist IT Development Manager in maintaining and improving the overall platform skills within the Delivery team and its partners
    Articulate to the wider-audience, some with no IT jargon knowledge, the impact of technology/design choices
    Reverse engineer existing T-SQL codebase
    Provide high-level documentation
    Implement new SQL-Server 20XX schemas for project work:

    Tables, Stored Procedures, Views etc.

    Support the testing of new systems to ensure that the database components of deliveries match the original design.
    Ensure that the implementation of new developments does not impact the existing service
    Administration of Databases and Servers including

    Effective and efficient maintenance & management to optimise performance.
    Troubleshoot incidents. Experience with SQL Profiler and Windows Performance Monitor essential. Experience with Orchestrations, Send & Receive Ports, Host Instance configuration, Purging and Message Tracking desirable.
    In concert with the Database Management Team, Planning, testing and implementation of installations, patches and upgrades to the delivered system.
    Supporting PayPoints’ Database Management team in the maintenance of the existing PayPoint Romania database
    Service Improvement

    Coach members of the IT Operations and Development Departments to increase the level of SQL Server knowledge.
    Develop new and existing policies and procedures to meet the continuing needs of the business
    Monitoring of the service to ensure that

    Tools are in place to provide 24x7 monitoring and alerting of incidents to support staff
    Performance and storage is in place to meet operational requirements
