Network Engineer - 104083

As a provider of internal IT services for METRO GROUP, METRO SYSTEMS Romania provides specialized consulting to retail companies in all aspects of IT, develops specific solutions along the full value chain and provides a powerful IT infrastructure with a team of over 900 IT professionals.

Requirements:
* University degree in information technology or comparable education;
* Previous experience in IT - Networking area is a plus;
* Good knowledge of network communications, network architectures, TCP/IP suite protocols, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS, DNS, LDAP, Load Balancing network management platforms;
* Good knowledge of LAN security, firewalls and routing;
* Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems;
* Ability to communicate and collaborate efficiently;
* Ability to understand and prioritize the needs of the customer;
* High interest in continuous learning and development (new tools, technologies, methodologies);
* Willingness to take over different roles in international and cross-functional teams;
* Self-motivation to achieve consistently high quality results;

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
You’re a great fit if you have:
Act as first level support for international leased lines;
Monitoring LAN/WAN infrastructure for MCC and Real stores, head offices, international leased lines;
Firewall monitoring and troubleshooting for Real stores, acting as 2nd level support and escalating to 3rd Level Support Germany (Network Service Center Global Communication Services) in case of major errors;
Server Security Services for MCC infrastructure worldwide: scan all servers in Metro group, country by country, for security policy breaches;
Daily and weekly status and statistics reports for above services;
Provides 1st and 2nd level of support for different services and applications inside the organization;
Availability to work in 24/7 shift working program.
