Mobile Access Planner

Connect44 was founded in the heart of Switzerland. Our goal was to support Telecom Operators and Equipment Manufacturers to design, manage and Optimise Mobile Networks. Starting with some of the first 2G voice networks, we began to grow our team of professionals to equip ourselves for new projects with new technologies and new ways of working. Investing substantial amounts of our budget on training, we started to move into 3G then 4G. Soon came the changes to IP networks, VOIP and preparing networks for large amounts of data by modernisation of old analogue networks to the digital standards. Over the past years Connect44 has steadily developed key longterm partnerships with its clients in many European countries with offices in Switzerland, UK, Germany, France, Romania and Chile.

Required competencies

·BA/BSc degree in Engineering or Computer Science

·At least 2 years of proven experience of 2G and 3G RAN planning on RNC’s

·Strong technical background in the Telecommunications field, especially in Mobile Radio Networks and the paging requirements (including LAC/RAC/TAC/URA)

·Understanding of ATM network, IP, Core Network, Network Management and Transmission principles

·Good knowledge of BSC / RNC products from more than one vendor

·Experience with MS Office and Sharepoint

·Knowledge with Remedy or PrOptima would be an advantage

·Fluent English spoken and written

Main tasks:

·Translating 2G and 3G rollout plans into detailed plans for deployment into the network containing network element resource allocation, databuild parameters and connectivity details (using MaGNet)

·Creating network models

·Produce detailed implementation plans in appropriate planning tools for Mobile Access events

·Produce regular capacity reports for the above network elements, highlighting any potential capacity shortfalls

·Willingness to travel within Europe if required

For our new services and operations center in Romania we are now looking for a motivated team player as Mobile Access Planner. With your detail-oriented and analytical way of working you are able to produce detailed plans for the rollout of BSC’s, RNC’s and associated equipment as well as capacity reports for 2G and 3G network elements. You organize and prioritize work with attention to impact and deadlines and you stay on track even in hectic situations.
