Core Databuild Engineer

Connect44 was founded in the heart of Switzerland. Our goal was to support Telecom Operators and Equipment Manufacturers to design, manage and Optimise Mobile Networks. Starting with some of the first 2G voice networks, we began to grow our team of professionals to equip ourselves for new projects with new technologies and new ways of working. Investing substantial amounts of our budget on training, we started to move into 3G then 4G. Soon came the changes to IP networks, VOIP and preparing networks for large amounts of data by modernisation of old analogue networks to the digital standards. Over the past years Connect44 has steadily developed key longterm partnerships with its clients in many European countries with offices in Switzerland, UK, Germany, France, Romania and Chile.

Required compentencies

- BA/BSc degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Strong technical background in the Telecommuniations and/or Data Network field as well as an understanding of all key elements that make up a mobile network
- At least 2 years of experience in Voice Core Databuilding using Ericsson equipment is mandatory
- Good knowledge and understanding of data script building tools (. Ericsson)
- Knowledge of the Ericsson IMS core databuild techniques
- Experience of the Magnet Plus and Remedy system is an advantage
- Fluent English spoken and written

Main tasks:

- Replacement of legacy MSC equipment to MSC Blade Cluster
- Part of the databuild team preparing data for the re-parenting of BSC/RNC equipment
- Testing of voice core network elements
- Conduct data validation / auditing processes and interactions which are required for new element integration
- Support network operations in faulting customer affecting failures and reduce customer lost hours
- Ensure data integrity across the network with Ericsson mobile network core databuild techniques MSC-S, MBC, HLR, HSS, MGW, STP, MME
- Willingness to travel within Europe if required
