Voice Core Planner

Connect44 was founded in the heart of Switzerland. Our goal was to support Telecom Operators and Equipment Manufacturers to design, manage and Optimise Mobile Networks. Starting with some of the first 2G voice networks, we began to grow our team of professionals to equip ourselves for new projects with new technologies and new ways of working. Investing substantial amounts of our budget on training, we started to move into 3G then 4G. Soon came the changes to IP networks, VOIP and preparing networks for large amounts of data by modernisation of old analogue networks to the digital standards. Over the past years Connect44 has steadily developed key longterm partnerships with its clients in many European countries with offices in Switzerland, UK, Germany, France, Romania and Chile.

Required compentencies:

- BA/BSc degree in Engineering;
- At least 2 years of experience within a Voice Core Planning environment
- Strong technical background in the Telecommuniations and/or Data Network field;
- Experience on Ericsson IMS platform and IP Core principles;
- Good knowledge of Remedy system;
- MS Office skills and presentation skills;
- Fluent English spoken and written;
- Willingness to travel within Europe if required;

Main tasks:

- Mobile Telecom Network Architecture (IN platform and its signaling protocols);
- Network Planning and Dimensioning;
- Configuration and Capacity Management;
- Integration of RAN nodes;
- Integration of new Ericsson MBC (SPX) nodes and signalling interconnect connectivity to OLO’s;
- Core networks signalling & traffic planning;
- Deal with any capacity and efficiency issues within the network;
- Provide high quality detailed plans to integrate other new services into the network;
- Sigtran planning over MPLS Network;

Your detail-oriented and analytical way of working and your strong problem-solving skills support your motivation to always reach the best solution for the project and the client. Furthermore you organise and prioritise work with attention to impact and deadlines. You are aware of Commercial & Service Management and to work under pressure is a challenge for you and during hectic times you keep calm and are not losing your humor.
