Credit & Collection Representative (En & Portuguese)

Candidate Personal Profile

• This position interacts with various levels of internal and external customers, and therefore requires good communication skills and judgment, tact and diplomacy with in troubleshooting problems and communicating status.
• A high level of pro-activity to contact customers to chase overdue debt is expected, especially on the phone communication.
• Initiative and priorities setting skills are valuable to ensure the timely completion of a large volume of work.
• Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position.
• Effectiveness in this role requires an understanding of relevant accounting systems, policies and procedures.
• The role would suit a candidate with excellent rapport building ability, strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability and enthusiasm.

Candidate Experience and Skills Required:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of Collections/Credit experience
• Experience working with Bank Guarantees, Letter of Credits and Cash Against Documents and Understand of Leases
• Computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office software is required.
• SAP experience is desirable, but not essential.
• English land Portuguese language proficiency (C1 level)
• To be able to work in Romania (non-UE applicants)

This role responsibilities are:
• Check and approve customer credit applications within assigned authority limits.
• Perform credit analysis/evaluation for new customers based on defined guidelines and existing policies and procedures
• Obtain input /reports from reporting agencies (eg, Equifax, Experian, etc)
• Effectively identify and resolve client issues preventing payment
• Proactively contact customers, primarily by telephone, in regards to payments to ensure invoice processing and timely payments have been scheduled; plan and priorities customer calls regularly on the largest open invoices.
• Manage credit approvals and credit blocks within authorized limits, and according to table of authorities.
• Perform operations with various financial instruments: Bank Guarantees, Letter of Credits and Cash Against Documents and Understand of Leases
