Senior Hardware Engineer to BTL Romania R&D

Your qualifications

● We expect that you as a minimum hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar. A Master’s degree is preferred
● Your active involvement in socially beneficial activities (sport’s trainer, scout leader, volunteer work, etc.) is considered an advantage. So is a diverse working experience
● It will be good if you have deep knowledge about analog and digital circuits, schematic and layout design tools, knowledge in embedded systems with micro-controllers
● We appreciate if you have around 4-6 years of experience in full product development of analog/digital electronic circuits (calculation, simulation and implementation of hardware modules and functions)
● Knowledge and design according to EMC, EMI, electrical safety and thermal constraints
● It will be an advantage that you have good knowledge of measurement techniques, test and lab equipment

We highly appreciate if you also have at least some of these qualifications

● Experience in Medical Device development (design for standards compliance, certification, verification)
● Knowledge of motors and driving techniques (DC Brushed / Brushless, Stepper)
● Altium Designer proficiency
● The ability to act as a technical leader

Your most important areas of responsibility

● You will play a very important role in the development of the hardware part of our R&D projects
● You will be responsible for growing and teaching the junior employees in the hardware department

Key tasks

● You will design and implement analog and digital circuitry (architecture, component selection, schematic, layout) according to the latest standards (medical, safety, EMC & EMI)
● You will assist in the construction of the prototypes with the rest of the project team
● You will drive the development of testing procedures and verification of the HW components (basic functionality, mechanical compatibility, EMC & EMI, reliability)
● You will conduct complete root-cause analysis reports on product or prototype failures
● You will work closely with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, for Product Certification preparation
● You will ensure compliance with quality policies, procedures, and practices
● You will support cost quotation and evaluation of proposed solutions
