Senior Database Developer (MS SQL)

Mandatory Skills/Experience

· 5+ years’ experience in SQL Development roles with increasing responsibility and complexity;

· Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent

· Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and above

· Familiarity with new features of Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) and ability to implement them

· In-depth knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures related to database management

· Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools

· Expertise in SQL Server Integration Services packages and SQL Server Reporting Services

· Advanced level of English (written and spoken)

Nice to have:

· Experience with development and deployment on Cloud environment (especially Azure)

· Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server

· Knowledge of Linux platforms

· Working experience within globally distributed multi-cultural teams and cross-region projects

· .Net programming experience

· Contribute to Code Reviews to identify basic technical and logical errors

· Work with the QA team to deliver testable, quality code

· Provide quality control for automated processing tasks (SQL jobs)

· Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects

· Prepare SQL Script packages to deploy in Development, QA and Production environment

· Good understanding of the Software Development Process

· Ability to work across departmental boundaries to resolve issues

Participate in Data Modeling of database logical and physical design

· Contribute to product and technical direction by brainstorming with Architects, Developers, Business Owners, and Product Managers

· Develop complex stored procedures/views/functions using T-SQL

· Write optimal SQL statements to support the business

· SQL performance tuning

· Integrate Database Solutions with front-end applications
