Requirements

Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar position;
In-depth knowledge of competition law and antitrust matters gained from law firm or in-house experience;
A business person’s legal with excellent judgment, particularly in determining the significance of legal matters and effectively measuring and minimizing risks;
Strong organizational skills in order to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously; willingness to assume heavy workload to meet timing and project needs;
Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at many different levels throughout the Company;
Ability to assume complex projects, create and present a plan of action, and independently manage projects to favorable resolution or conclusion;
Ability to maintain high level of integrity of confidential and sensitive information and credibility within the organization;
Exceptional writing skills, with attention to detail and ability to generate creative original drafted documents;
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate and help non-experts understand applicable regulations and requirements;
Good knowledge of RO and EU legislation, in particular robust knowledge of Commercial Law and Competition Law; Advertising, Consumer Protection, Environment;
IP Law, Labor Code, GDPR (not as DPO) general awareness (not required as routine duties) are a plus;
Ability to delegate and supervise, where appropriate;
Ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities;
Must demonstrate maturity and initiative;
Fluent spoken and written Romanian and English.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with legal requirements in the area of Commercial Law, Competition, Advertising Law, Environment, E-commerce Regulations;
Working in close partnership with your legal and business colleagues to develop, as well as evaluate and assess products, services and technologies that are compliant with competition laws and regulations;
Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the company’s business, its people, products, technology, markets, facilities, customers and competitors in order to identify trends and formulate structures and strategies accordingly;
Develop and deliver competition law counseling and training, as well as regularly reviewing and ensuring that competition policies and procedures are tailored to appropriately address legal and business needs and risks;
Advising on responses to regulatory inquiries on competition law issues, in coordination with local legal and other stakeholders as appropriate;
Monitoring and advising on legal and regulatory changes in relation to competition laws and regulatory trends that impact the company's business across Europe. This includes counseling on state and international laws and regulations concerning competition and trade regulations, as well as providing strategic legal and risk management counsel to regional business partners on compliance requirements stemming from competition laws, and other anti-bribery and corruption laws and regulations;
Provide legal advisory and solutions as a business partner to senior management when implementing the commercial strategy and policy;
Cooperation with local employees/management to draft, negotiate and interpret a wide range of contracts, including sales agreements, service agreements, distributorship agreements, sales support agreements, and other. Providing legal advice and business-minded recommendations on matters;
Maintain proper cooperation and contact with external legal partners and local authorities;
Supervise legal advisors on certain tasks.
