Essential Requirements

•Expert in Elasticsearch ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) platform - Ideally 3+ years of experience and someone who has built an enterprise level ES solution before, preferably more than once.
•Experience upgrading Elasticsearch versions and OS patches
•Expert Knowledge in Unix , shell scripting / python
•Ability to automate the daily operational procedure using various opensource tools
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
•Expertise in working , troubleshooting with Prometheus and Grafana
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
•Strong Analytical and Communication skills

Desirable Requirements

•Familiarity with Hadoop and RDBMS is a big a plus.
•Experience with Cassandra is a big plus.
•Experience with highly scaled distributed and mission critical environments

Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana) stack solutions both in Cloud and on-prem
•Ability upgrade ELK stack, troubleshoot and ability apply OS patches.
•Ability to create custom monitoring solution using opensource tools
•Ability to automate the operational procedures in shell / python / ansible / cheff.
•Willing to perform occasionally on-call duties in rotation
•Contribute to team design discussions with detailed technical information
•Develop code with quality, scalability and extensibility
•Ability to work independently and willing to work with team members spread across the globe.
•Identify strategic/tactical solutions and provides risk assessments and recommendations
•Extensive skills in Elasticsearch tuning/optimizing based on application needs
