Skills, knowledge and experience:

• A recognised subject matter expert in IP/MPLS, with experience within an architectural or senior design/development role, with demonstrable success in providing technology technical/thought leadership;
• Degree level qualification in telecommunications, engineering, computer science or related discipline or 7+ years’ experience in similar role;
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and pre-sale feasibility analytics which use SQL/JAVA/VT220.

Main responsibilities:

• To provide authoritative and credible technology IP/MPLS technical leadership, engaging with colleagues across the organisation, strategic customers, vendors and industry bodies;
• To work with counterparts and key stakeholders across the VCNO group to ensure that the technology strategy and Implementation;
• Designs being pursued aligns with our wider business objectives;
• To define the low-level design (lld) technical standards that the global company networks will follow;
• Lead technology/architecture-related multi-disciplinary virtual teams for project and strategic initiatives Requirements / Evaluations / RfQ of major national and international projects.
