Welding Engineer

-Knowledge of main international Discipline standards, codes and regulations. Capability to analyze dedicated Project requirements in terms of local standards and codes and to identify proper implementation actions
-Knowledge of the metallurgical properties of the main metallic materials and impact on their physical, mechanical and corrosion resistance properties
-Knowledge of methods for offshore pipeline installation
-Knowledge of main welding processes (GMAW, SAW, FCAW, GTAW, Plasma, others) typically required by projects and related techniques
-International Welding Engineer/European Welding Engineer(IWE/EWE) certificate is considered a plus

-Assist and support the Welding Coordinator and/or the project teams on all welding matters
-Prepare and issue preliminary Welding Documents for assigned project or bids
-Reviewing client specifications and scopes of work, examining pipe metallurgy and preparing detailed Welding procedures to achieve maximum productivity in accordance with specified quality
-Reviewing subcontractors tender documents and technical qualifications
-Ensure that Welding traceability information are recorded, maintained and available in the required format for all Welding activities to demonstrate achievement of client requirements
-Review journals and technical papers for new welding technology
