VENDOR TOOLING COST ENGINEER

•Good knowledge of tooling technology and the costs associated with these technologies (stamping, plastic injection or aluminum injection);
•Ability to manage multiple complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results;
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with local and global team members to solve problems and issues;
•High level of understanding the assigned processes;
•Customer oriented;
•Demonstrated ability in using Microsoft Office software
•Language English and/or French.

•Makes cost estimations for specific tools (molds, dies) in upstream phase of a project necessary for the vehicle parts (plastic, aluminum injected or casted, sheet-metal), taking into account the complete manufacturing technology;
•Proposes solutions to reduce the costs;
•Analyzes the suppliers’ quotations;
•Issues pieces of advice in defining the cost methodology and process for assessing the components and materials;
•Works with multiple cross-functional organizations, both regionally and globally;
•Works independently and in a structured an analytical manner.
