Application Administrator

We are looking for a Application Administrator who is able to manage Job Scheduling and Monitoring Platforms such as BMC Control-M, IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler and Check_MK. The infrastructure consists in more than 350 virtual OS Linux based servers interconnected with more than 2000 Agents installed on different Operating System distributions.
You will work in close collaboration with DevOps teams located within Metros Systems Romania and have the opportunity to sustain them in automating their business processes.

We’re looking for someone who can:

•Handle all problems and incidents related to Workload Automation Platforms (BMC Control-M)
•Deploy and Configure Control-M servers (installation, configuration and fine tuning)
•Handle calls with BMC, track and follow escalated problems
•Control tasks for automation, backup and recovery
• Interact with other teams (Job Operation, OS Admins, LAN/WAN, etc.)
•Maintain patch management configuration & housekeeping (update list / deployment packages)
•Actively participate on the architecture design projects for platform improvement (Upgrade environments to newer versions)

You’re a great fit if you have:

• Advanced UNIX OS Administration (RedHat, AIX)
• Advanced Shell Scripting (KSH and Bash) for automating platform processes
• Windows server (2008, 2010)
• DevOps Tools (GitHub, ELK, Ansible, Prometheus/Grafana)
• Backup Concept
• Cloud Architecture
• Ability to communicate and collaborate efficient
•High interest in continuous learning and development (new tools, technologies, methodologies)
•Experience with job scheduling and workload automation platforms and/or monitoring tools would be a big plus.
