o Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of equivalent experience;
o Strong understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and root cause analysis
o In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems;
o Experience provisioning environments (Public Cloud - AWS or Azure) (VMWare);
o Strong understanding of Active Directory and LDAP;
o Fluent English is mandatory .

The Senior Systems Engineer role will be responsible for server systems design and deployment in physical and virtual environments. The role will also provide Technical expertise during onboarding of new Cloud Services customers and will handle current Install Base Operating System and hardware upgrades.
o The PTC Cloud Systems Administration team works closely with peers in Network Engineering, Database administration, Disaster Recovery and Application Delivery to provide hosted computing infrastructure supporting PTC Cloud’s customer base. PTC Cloud support’s the Company’s overall Customer Success organization.

Your Impact:

o The Cloud Infrastructure Senior Engineer supports the Infrastructure Systems Lead in the regular cadence with the Delivery teams;
o Acts as a liaison between Infrastructure and Delivery Teams;
o Represents Infrastructure and enforce Cloud Services standards with global services and/or partners;
o Mentors new recruits;
o Executes extended Cloud Services and Production Support coverage.

Your Day-To-Day:

o Strong understanding of Operating systems (RH Linux and Windows) running on both VMware and Bare Metal servers including administration, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting and scripting;
o Advanced knowledge of VMware vSphere, SRM, and NSX technologies;
o Configuration and Troubleshooting of Storage Arrays and ESXi Servers.Public;
o Cloud experience (AWS and Azure) with relevant knowledge in provisioning, patch management, and troubleshooting of instances deployed in AWS and Azure;
o Strong understanding of middleware application software including Apache and Tomcat is preferred;
o Ability to be part of an On-Call Rotation and perform weekend activities as needed.
