IT Security Engineer

Vienna Insurance Group Management Service SRL (VIG MS) is the group owned IT Service provider for all Romanian entities (Asirom, BCR Life Insurance and Omniasig) of Vienna Insurance Group.

In technical terms we’re looking for a person which has a good understanding of IT security vulnerabilities and attacks and is willing to work with a small team of engineers in maintaining and improving our security posture: Anti-Malware, Vulnerability Scanners, IDS/IPS, Sandboxing, SIEM, Disk Encryption, MDM, NGFW, Web Gateway are just a few toys we play with in our environment. You must be thorough and careful, sometimes they byte (#!/bin/there).

JOB PURPOSE:

Investigates alerts, incidents and works with the team to improve the security posture of the organization. Maintains the relationship with customers, structures business and technical requirements and drives extension of the security platforms within VIG MS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Monitors security events and incidents across the entire infrastructure;
Acts and oversees rectification procedures and manages complex security-related problems;
Acts as the first point of contact for escalating security-related incidents and problems unsolved by Level 1; provides technical support during resolution of complex problems and incidents;
Administers and oversees IT Security platforms operations and projects;
Designs and deploys IT security platforms-related changes;
Coordinates IT security projects and monitors their execution at the operational level;
Acts as a communication point between other teams and the IT security team
Ensures IT Security incident resolution within SLA requirements, monitors alerts, performance and availability and documents performance and capacity baselines;
Monitors and implements IT security policies and documents changes according to the internal processes and policies;
Develops and updates technical documentation, internal process documentation and periodic IT Security reports;
Documents business and technical requirements and remediation options;
Assists the team in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures;
Proactive in the development of his/her professional skills;
