    Your job: Opportunity to join the UK & Ireland New Business division as a Business Development Executive, supporting the Business Development Managers (BDMs) by driving and creating new business opportunities.
    The core function of the role is setting appointments for our BDMs in the field, through high levels of activity and outbound telesales calls to potential customers to sell the proposition of Office Depot.This dynamic team focusing on generating new business within the Mid & Major accounts markets, targeting businesses with a potential spend of €100k+ per annum.Utilising your previous experience in winning new business in a B2B telesales environment, you will have proven success in a similar role, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the drive to succeed and a resilient nature.Description:

    • To identify and optimise opportunities to deliver new business within a target market through excellent customer service and appointment closing on behalf of the BDM team
    • To cleanse, qualify and optimise prospect base data and to maintain and update the CRM system with key customer information
    • To identify multiple key decision makers across organisations relevant to Office Depots portfolio of services
    • To conduct sales calls to key decision makers, utilising needs analysis questioning skills to identify opportunities and to present the benefits and value of a meeting
    • To effectively communicate the full portfolio of services with prospects
    • To effectively objection handle to secure appointments
    • To support the BDM’s in the effective management of sales pipelines to deliver results
    • To achieve Sales and GP targets and reach minimum performance and activity standards as agreed by line management
    • To provide ad hoc administrative support to the BDM team as required


    • Outbound B2B Sales experience
    • Experience in owning and managing/developing a customer base is essential
    • A good comprehension of the office supplies market place coupled with a sound understanding of buyers’ motives would be beneficial
    • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
    • The ability to persuade and influence at a senior level
    • To be entrepreneurial and commercially astute with exceptional organisational and planning skills
    • Ability to cope with large pressures and setbacks
