Education and Experience Required:
-First level university degree or equivalent experience
-Typically 1-2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain function ideally
Knowledge and Skills:
-Good understanding of procurement processes, industry, and suppliers
-Strong analytical skills
-Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint) and basic supply chain modeling skills
-Good knowledge and use of procurement tools and applications
-Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
-Good influencing and negotiation skills
-Good teamwork skills
-Mastery in English and local language
-Collaborates with internal and external partners to meet procurement objectives
-Executes simple contracting activities such as: POTAC Addenda, Simplified Agreements, amendments and renewals, GDPR, contracts & SOW terminations
-Ensures the correct contract template is selected for the situation / deal, that we meet risk mitigation requirements, timelines and quality expectations through planning (expiring contracts reports, Category alignment)
-Negotiates commercial (low value) and legal aspects of Supplier agreements. Engages with Suppliers to drive negotiations and effectively manages supplier push-back
-Performs risk analysis (When to Write a Contract, GDPR / DNSS screening), supplier qualification (D&B, FRA, and RPL) and spend analysis (ability to identify and interpret data) in order to take the best decision on the contract actions
-Understands BU needs or Category negotiation background on each request. Develops a broad understanding of what we buy and how we buy - GP Categories strategy, HPE Business Units and Functions
-May escalate internally to senior team members, Contracts or to Category in various situations ( supplier paper, complex pushback and material deviations)
-Supports L2 BU Fast track support requirements
-Provides feedback on template / process opportunity improvements
-May support other team projects / actions (i.e. Supplier enablement)
-Performs tasks as assigned and applies experience to align individual work with overall strategy using discretion and judgment
-Becomes an expert on Procurement processes and tools

Contracting buyer for Indirect Procurement Category – EMEA and APJ regions will be responsible for legal and low value commercial negotiations, for both goods and services purchasing that support the company and its customers. Includes identifying and recommending the best suppliers, low value commercial negotiations and competitive bidding, supplier contracting and negotiations, supplier qualification and resolving quality issues.
Responsible for timely contract administration and negotiation of favourable HPE standard terms with existing and new HPE Suppliers.
Ensures constant contact with the local Business stakeholders and internal Categories, as well collaborates with local functions (Legal, Finance) to ensure the best contracting outcome. Understands and stays informed about Category strategy and uses this information on day to day decision making.
Supports the strategy of using HPE templates and works closely with Category teams to dive both BU and Supplier behaviour in this direction.
Supports contracting renewal and monitoring actions for the Categories and contracts owned.
