    Summary of the Role
     
    This role is part of the Emerson Service Delivery and Operations Organization. The Project Engineer will have ownership of the technical implementation of Telephony services as defined by Emerson IT in Europe and Middle-East. She/he will be responsible to deliver agreed levels of services to internal customers and to use associated applications, technology and infrastructure supporting delivery of these services in an ITIL inspired environment.
     
    Emerson IT Services span a variety of businesses, sites and user base count, going from small sales offices to large manufacturing and engineering facilities, serving 60,000+ users and 500+ sites worldwide
     
    Specific Responsibilities
     
    General
    Be responsible for the technical implementation of all Telephony services in Europe and Middle-East, providing high skills and experience for major and complex sites
    Follow and enforce Emerson policies and rules regarding relevant IT management, security, standards and procedures, liaise with other teams when required
    Maintain the required level of skills to meet excepted level of service in accordance with technology and business trends
     
    Technical Implementation
    Provide the Telephony design and bill of material according to the existing service standards for large and complex rollouts
    Apply the right technical implementation in collaboration with the Service Delivery and Telephony Operation team and play a consultant role for medium / small rollouts
    Collaborate with subcontractors in promoting the right best practices/standards to guarantee smooth rollout and efficient transition to the Service Delivery & Operation team after cut-over
    Report to the service owner and relevant parties any need for deviation for review and validation
    Make sure that configurations changes are executed in full respect of Change Management process and procedures
    Be instrumental in any Go or No-Go decision, ensuring business continuity
    Closely collaborate with the Project Manager and escalate any deviation in the execution of his tasks
    Be the trusted bridge between the Service Delivery and Operations organization and the Telephony Service Design and Transition teams
    Be part of the CSI (Continual Service Improvement) process and report any need for improvement to optimize the Service Provisioning and its support (design, process, test and release, tools, documentation)
    Collaborate with Telephony Service Owner and any relevant IT organizations to improve the global Service
    Participate to the necessary documentation and procedures definition and maintenance
     
    Education / Qualification Requirements of the Role
    Education
    Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication or equivalent, but experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
    Minimum 3 years’ experience in Telephony technical rollouts
    ITIL or equivalent awareness or certification
    Fluent in business English (speaking and writing)
    Must-have Qualifications
    Specialist in his area of expertise knowledge of current trends in the specific field, plus good understanding of peripheral environment (Script, LAN)
    Professional certifications for Telephony technologies (CISCO certifications)
    CCNA Collaboration, CCNP Collaboration, CCIE Collaboration – are preferred
    Effective communicator – ability to manage challenge of remote communications through multiple tools (Instant Messaging, e-mail, phone, project management interface)
    Experience in working on medium/large projects
    Ready to travel (10 % of the time)
    Flexible attitude towards working hours
