Our story

The ORTEC journey started in the early 1980s. A few young Dutch students wanted to show the world the value of mathematics to secure long term sustainable growth for organizations and society at large. 37 years later, ORTEC is the world’s leading supplier of mathematical optimization software and advanced analytics with around 1000 employees and offices in 13 countries around the globe. Who you are

You have an IT-related bachelor degree
You have 3+ years of relevant working experience
You are a problem-solver, feel very responsible and can’t sleep till the issue is solved
You don’t mind being occasionally on-call
You will be our favorite if you bring MS Azure and (no)SQL knowledge and enjoy a bit of scripting

What you do

You keep our cloud up-and-running! Our mission is to improve the world with our passion for mathematics. And we are running more and more of our software as a cloud service or application. This is a fresh and exciting time, we are starting a new operations team that will work closely together with the development teams. You will be a part of this team and have the responsibility of deploying our software worldwide in a secure, scalable, and reliable way, automating these deployments, performing technical tests, monitoring production 24/7, and working together with the developers on investigating and solving issues.
