    Position Summary

    This position reports directly to the Finance Director and it will be part of the European Finance Shared Service Center located in Bucharest. This person will be responsible to coordinate all outgoing payments (suppliers, intracompany transfers, contributions and taxes, etc.), including but not limited to, reviewing, correcting and submitting invoices for payment, handling any disputed payments. The person will work closely with US & Europe Corporate Treasury as well as with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, having full responsibility of payment disbursement in the EMEA region.


    Principal Responsibilities

    Corporate Treasury

    - Consolidate cash forecast at country and or region level

    - Cash management activities at country and or region level

    - Management of banks platforms

    - Oversees the administration of the bank accounts and ensures quarterly access reviews are conducted

    - Maintains banking relationships and acts as the liaison with all banking contacts

    - Analyzes banking fees and creates control measures that would minimize bank charges;

    - Assesses current and potential risks and advises management on the necessary precautionary measures;

    - Maintains a system of policies and procedures that imposes an adequate level of control over treasury activities.

    Cash Forecast

    - Cash flow forecast to be provided to treasury department and to other stakeholders; various analysis of payments executed in a period; offer support for all internal or external audits;

    - Assists with month end close and general processing, as needed

    Payment Disbursement

    - third party suppliers payments execution following specific payments calendars according with the legal entity internal policies and procedures

    - posting of transactions from bank statements; ensure that suppliers bank details are correct; process T&E payments;

    - Romania cash management

    - Review the vendors master data

    - Reconcile all the rejected payments

    - Archive the back up documentation (documents, approvals) for audit purposes;

    - Comply with the anti fraud policy and apply all necessary controls to avoid fraudulent payments

    Others

    - Bank reconciliation; archiving the bank statements and proof of payments; keep up to date the standard operating procedures; contribute to the different projects and in support of annual metrics to improve processes and gain efficiencies;

    - Develop and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers, field personnel and accounts payable to support vendor payment terms and disbursements

    - Be part of various projects

    - Provide awareness and control on the effects of geopolitical risks affecting the department

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements

    - Cash & Treasury experience, preferably in house with a large multinational corporation

    - 7 years plus relevant experience (accounting, reporting, forecasting)

    - Solid accounting knowledge (AP, AR, GL)

    - Sound knowledge regarding vendor master data verification

    - Experience in SWIFT Payment Messaging

    - A good knowledge of EMEA Banking and Payment Regulation

    - MS Office Excel skills at an Intermediate level or higher

    - SAP knowledge would be a plus

    - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience, ACCA certification is a plus

    - Fluency in English and one of languages as French/Spanish/German would be a plus

    - Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
