Cerinte

- Degree with law background (German "Staatsexamen"), additional LLM degree
is great advantage
- Technical knowledge of primary-insurance or reinsurance Claims and/or
Underwriting
- In-depth knowledge of international ((re) insurance) law
- US legal experience desirable
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Fluent business English; knowledge of German and/or another language
advantageous
- Willingness to travel, high level of intercultural awareness
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office

Responsabilitati

- To handle/process international large losses (active claims management)
- To monitor the process of claims regulation
- To provide clear, concise and solution-oriented legal advice to underwriters
- To provide quality assurance and auditing services to underwriters, regularly
reviewing and monitoring policy wordings
- To establish and feed a data-base related wordings and clauses
- To develop model clauses and minimum standards for primary-insurance policies
and provide explanatory comments on commonly used clauses
- To provide training, support and guidance to the other Legal Counsels and
Underwriters
- To be proactive in identifying new underwriting related legal issues
