• Demonstrates full understanding of WAN/LAN internetworking design elements including cost versus performance tradeoffs, protocol interoperability, network architecture development, and requirements for testing / proof of concept (overall 4 years work experience);
• Has advanced knowledge of platform operation systems (router, platforms, LAN, WAN, and dynamic routing protocols - BGP, EIGRP and OSPF) and how they interact with the network;
• Experience with WAN MPLS and WAN circuit troubleshooting;
• Cisco Wireless or general wireless experience; Cisco firewall experience (ASA, PIX) are an advantage;
• Demonstrates advanced skills in gathering requirements, performing analysis and work with senior network engineers on complex design solutions;
• Demonstrates advance skills and knowledge and adherence to Change Management processes;
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken;
• Strong customer service skills; interfaces with customers, end users, partners and associates;
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA); Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) desirable;
• Mentor other associates on network technology implementation
• Should be open to working occasional late weekday or weekend hours to accommodate needs of the client (rotational work on-call once a month).

Responsabilitati

• Conducts feasibility studies on strategic and tactical plans, design of digital/analog networks, and evaluation of network services/technology for current and future network development;
• Performs complex technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, systems integration for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN/VPN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems;
• Plans, designs, and implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators and switches;
• Conducts analysis, prepares reports, and works on project implementation;
• May serve as technical liaison with vendors.
