Cerinte

Preferred Experience/Skills:

o 1+ years of Oracle database development or administration experience.
o 1+ years of Linux or Unix experience, including shell scripting.
o 1+ years of Apache experience.
o Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to work in a team environment.
o A self starter.

Other:

o Proficiency in speaking and writing the English language is necessary.
o Proficiency in other languages is recommended, but not essential.
o Overtime may be necessary.
o All Overtime must be approved before the time is worked.
o Travel will not be necessary.
o The intern may work remotely, with the manager’s approval.
o No certifications are necessary, however, the candidate will receive a technical interview to determine their skill level and ability to complete the task.

Responsabilitati

Tasks

The intern will:

o Perform routine database maintenance, such as resolve database issues and install Oracle product patches.
o Perform routine web server maintenance.
o Perform routine file system maintenance.
o Research and resolve system issues.
o Write shell scripts in a Linux environment to automate everyday tasks.
o Generate system documentation that catalogs the issues identified and the resolutions implemented.

The internship is part time, 10 hours minimum to 20 hours maximum per week, with exceptions for school examinations and holidays.
