Cerinte

BS in Computers Science, Engineering or Information Systems, or equivalent;
SQL and relational database experience, preferably but not necessarily with the Oracle database, including understanding of how to efficiently query large volumes of data;
Operating Systems: Windows and Unix/Linux;
General Database and DataWarehouse skills;
Basic network technologies;
Proven technical troubleshooting experience and decision-making ability, with a drive and talent for solving hard problems;
Developing business reports over a relational database or prefereble DataWarehouse using a reporting tool;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently, without close supervision;
Self-paced learning and working ability;
Teamwork spirit;
Fluency in English.

Responsabilitati

Design, implement, and support business reporting and analysis solutions using tools such as OBI EE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, formerly called Siebel Analytics) running against an Oracle database. Usually we work with early or pre-release versions of Oracle products;
Design, implement and support ETL (Extraction Transformation Loading) processes using tools such as Informatica, ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) running against an Oracle database;
Work with business analysts and users to design, implement, and enhance reports that run against either a transactional data source or data warehouse;
Report Oracle product defects and suggest product enhancements directly to Oracle product management and product development;
As part of a geographically distributed development team, establish and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues located around the world; (Collaboration is electronic, over web conference, phone, and email, so little or no travel is necessary)
Define development processes and standards; establish and document best practices;
Test, debug, document and measure the performance of the implemented features;
Cross train new team members.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

Experience with Oracle Database environment;
Creating reports or analytical dashboards in a large scale data warehousing environment;
Oracle PL/SQL programming;
Unix shell scripting or Perl programming;
Developing with Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator or similar tools;
Oracle 10g database administration and tuning, particularly of large production databases with many concurrent users;
Developing reports with Oracle Discoverer, Oracle BI Publisher (formerly called Oracle XML Publisher), Oracle Reports, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Cognos, or similar tools;
Basic knowledge in JAVA, including GUI like JDeveloper or Eclipse.
