Tax Specialist

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience;
• Master/Bachelor degree in economics, potentially with a supplementary degree in financial matters.
• Good understanding of fiscal law and statutory accounting;
• Strong experience in working with Excel and large databases;
• Advanced English (both written and spoken);
• Solid controls consciousness and analytical skills;
• Very good interpersonal and team-playing skills;
• Well organized and able to identify and juggle with priorities.

Responsibilities:
• Ensuring timely, accurate and complete accounting records, verification and processing of accounting entries related to taxes (VAT, withholding taxes, social contributions for Sales Leaders, payroll taxes, local taxes);
• Prepare monthly fiscal declarations and financial reports;
• Checks monthly closing procedures and reconciliation of accounts;
• Ensuring the compliance with all statutory, financial and corporate requirements;
• Review and approve indirect tax returns in the frame of a well-defined process;
• Follow up on legislative changes and identify the impact on business processes;
• Identify opportunities for tax efficiency and optimization;
• People coordination & development: supervision & controlling of processes, daily task and responsibilities coordination/assignment, identifying development needs for team members.
