IT background or a strong interest to learn IT technologies
Fluent English
Excellent communication and writing skills
Preferable North America work experience
Experience of working as a community specialist or a background in social media from the IT industry.
Deep technical knowledge is not required, but would be a strong plus; a willingness to learn a technology completely is the first successful step.
Dedication to blogging and micro-blogging will be a plus
Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (content development, creation / editing of content, online reputation management etc.)
Extremely effective organizer / multitasker, able to juggle varying projects at the one time
Basic understanding of key web metrics. Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
The Community Specialist will join the team responsible for the company’s activities on technical communities (Reddit, Spiceworks, VMware Communities, Experts Exchange, and other) and social media.
Creates, manages and grows business presence across online technical communities, including Microsoft, VMware, Spiceworks, Reddit, Experts Exchange, and so on.
Expands the range of online communities where Veeam should be represented.
Plan and execute global marketing campaigns in online technical communities.
Listen online technical communities and help Veeam marketing to create engaging content for further promotion.
Posts on a regular basis; fosters follower engagement and loyalty through conversations replies; and monitors related activity to ensure compliance with relevant community standards.
Implements strategies for recruiting new followers and members.
Stays current on new technologies, best practices and trends in virtualization sphere.
