Finance Manager, Software Development Unit

Visma is looking for a new Finance Manager with responsibility for the product/software research and development unit in the software division. The Finance Manager is a key person in the management team, in charge of financial aspect of the strategy implementation. The right candidate will have a degree in finance/accounting or similar, minimum, interest in technology and three years’ experience from finance in the software, telecom or high tech industries.
As Finance Manager your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain a reliable framework for decision making, for support of the R&D and group management. You will work closely with the finance director for the division, and be responsible for a small team of controllers. Specifically, the Finance Manager is in charge of:
 
Tasks

• Product accounting - track R&D hours/cost, COGS and royalties and measure deviance from plan
• Preparation and control of consolidated R&D balance sheets and income statements
• Handling of transfer pricing, royalties and intercompany processes
• Internal control routines, risk analysis
• Third party contracts management relevant for development of intellectual property, ensuring compliance at all times, including consulting contracts, NDAs and COGS
• Board and management reports
• Improvement projects on data quality and automation across the group
 
Competencies:

• Bachelor/Master degree in finance/accounting
• Interest in technology
• Knowledge of software development processes
• Proficiency in English, with good communication skills
• Good spreadsheet and database knowledge
• Some management experience
• Fundamental understanding of customers, market- and pricing models, competitive landscape and products in the IT industry
• Willingness and ability to learn finance and management accounting
