    Description

    As part of GSD, the RITC Support Team is seeking a Tier 2 engineer to support the delivery of NOKIA RITC Operations and the software design and specification for automation services for Wireless and IP projects. This primarily consists of LTE Radio Access Network (RAN) nodes as well as IP routers that are integral to wireless deployments across all technologies. The RITC Support Operations engineer is responsible for ensuring the on-time and quality deployment of RITC services in all markets served, especially in North America. As a Senior in the team he is also responsible for performing trainings and knowledge transfer inside the team

    Key Responsibilities / Functions:

    · Interfacing with the RITC Tool (Scheduler/Viewer) for determining service delivery requirements
    · Interfacing with RITC PM to assure project priorities are addressed and delivery of required reports and information
    · Support field testing failures, via escalation from RITC technicians and engineers.
    · Interfacing with software developers with specifications and first application testing of software modules
    · Support typical tasks like 3G/4G node integrations/health checks, software updates, support of Change Notice/
    Hardware updates, antenna tilting/testing, etc.
    · Debug scripts, improve scripts and modify current software to support new Customers and services.
    · Work as part of a global team with all RITC engineers, software developers and management
    · Perform trainings and knowledge transfer inside the team
    · Provide feedback to RITC S/W development team on deployment/software issues and new software release
    software testing
    · Communicate customer issues to PM for corrective action
     
    Qualifications - External

    Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
    · 4+ years of engineering and software experience
    · Experience with wireless technologies primarily 3G & 4G
    · Lab experience and ability to troubleshoot lab issues including networking, software and hardware failures
    · Experience in Windows based products and Office productivity tools
    · Leadership experience working in labs and/or in customer markets required
    · Excellent written communication skills required
    · Bachelors in CS or EE required
    · Ability to lead/work in team environment
    · Ability to travel/support FOA deployments, and training for Alcatel-Lucent deployments
    · Ability to work non-standard shifts, including 24/7 worldwide coverage
    · Must be fluent in English
     
    Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)

    · 2+ years of experience in Telecom networks troubleshooting and support
    · Web development experience
    · Knowledge of UNIX, LINUX, Solaris operating systems
    · Knowledge in Microsoft Visual Studio and ASP.net, Visual Basic, C#, JavaScript
    · Knowledge of Nokia former ALU’s IP Networking products (7750, 7705, 7210)
