- College degree in IT
- Language skills: English – medium -> advanced
- Basic knowledge of Citrix tools (e.g. XenApp, XenDesktop, Provisioning Service), Windows Operating Systems (especially Windows Server)
- Basic knowledge of VmWare vsphere Hypervisor
- Basic programming skills
- Quick learner
- Organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to apply and build appropriate knowledge skills and experience
- Able to contribute to strategic thinking
- Ability to work unsupervised and be proactive
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work and communicate with other teams involved in the project (e.g. Software Distribution team, Server Support team, Management team)
Nice to have:
- Citrix Courses/Certifications
- Knowledge of other Citrix tool related and/or other virtualization tools (e.g. Xenserver, Edgesight)
- Database and Scripting knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
- Knowledge of Mobile Device Management solutions
- Previous experience in similar roles
- Knowledge of ITIL practices
- Responsible for up-time, performance, reliability, scalability, security and high availability of infrastructure machines
- Troubleshoot performance issues, configuration and apply fixes
- Create scripts in order to automate certain tasks
- Perform tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements with end users regarding Citrix-served application availability based on Technical Manual or KB documentation
- Perform and test system configuration backups and restores to ensure system recovery from outages or errors
- Review and deploy new Citrix patches and software updates according to best practices
- Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software problems on Citrix servers and client access software
- Application provisioning
- User provisioning
- System patching and maintenance
- Daily system health checks
- Environment maintenance
- Changes in Client Environment
- Reporting and Documenting
- Participate in regular internal and external (Customer) status meetings
- Solve the remainder of the problems not solved at Levels 1 or 1.5, short of defects in products
- Document actions in the record
- Perform root cause analysis when required
- Assist in the use of supported products
- Recommend process and tool improvements
- Contact other support groups/organizations as required
- Interface with other systems, networks, and operating system environments
- Route to other levels of support as required
- Provide documentation and training for Level 1 and Level 1.5 support if applicable
- Communicate with other levels of support via telephony, client chat tools or ticketing system and emails
- Create and implement change requests for incidents/problems as needed
