    Required skills

    • Knowledge of middleware technologies especially in the service management area as the following:
             • IBM SmartCloud suite of products (such as SmartCloud Control Desk)
             • IBM Netcool suite of products (such as IBM Netcool/OMNIbus)
             • IBM Rational suite of products (such as UrbanCode Deploy)
             • IBM Spectrum suite of products (such as IBM Spectrum Protect)
    • Best if also knowledge on competition technologies, such as BMC, Nagios and CA.
    Responsibilities

    This role concentrates on the development and design of IT Transformation solutions that support the business requirements of the client and moreover design of systems to manage the infrastructure and applications used by the client. Solution responsibility can include infrastructure strategy and design, systems strategy and design, communications strategy and design, and data center strategy and design. Included in the focus areas are the critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components (including partners) of the infrastructure. Best practices in this role use reference architectures and service product assets to develop conceptual and detailed designs. Infrastructure Architects are responsible for performance, availability and scalability of the solution and the impact on the client's infrastructure. Moreover, the candidate must have the following competencies in the middleware arena:
    •  Very good knowledge of the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) practices
    • Capability to design Service Management solutions (such as availability, configuration mgmt, change mgmt, service desk solutions)
    • Good knowledge of IBM design methodologies (such as Team Solution Design, Unified Method Architecture or similar design methods)
    • Capability to design managed services (such as server management service)
    • Knowledge of IT Governance including IT Organization design
    • Capacity and performance analysis, data collection and reporting for server, storage and network
    • Especially he also has to make critical evaluation and selection of the hardware and software components (including the most appropriate vendors and partners of the infrastructure)
    • He must be able to estimate the services for realizing the solution. For instance he must identify the job profession (IT/Architect, IT/Specialist, PM etc), estimates the effort (number of days needed) with related band and Level 40
    • He should have also the ability to interact with all the stakeholder (Extended technical team, Sales Team, Deal Hub etc) in order to manage the deal with all the organizations.
    • He must able to understand documentation in Italian language and able to deliver technical documentation (in Italian) that explain the solution provided
    • If necessary he must be able to make a preliminary technical analysis of RFQ/RFP/Tender in order to address and evaluate, along with the sales team, if proceed with the answer or not and provide support in the choices of GO / NOGO being OMDT process
    • He must demonstrate ownership in following the specific opportunity and the ability to work effectively in an extended team
