Orange Romania’s Operation & Maintenance Team is looking for a new colleague to own and coordinate all actions related to the VAS platforms.
You will grow in our team as part of division which counts hundreds of professionals. We constantly try to improve our knowledge, share practices and stories from the "battlefield". We meet up to share their technical experiences and you will have the chance to engage in conversations around modern software practices, new tools or solutions that worked or not for them and validation of your assumptions around a particular difficult problem that you encountered.
The colleagues with whom you will interact are VAS platform suppliers, VAS engineering teams and PMs, CRM team, IT system engineers.
Your work will impact the digital experience of over 10 million people, and counting.
As a VAS Support Engineer you will insure the proper quality of service, you will be involved in standard operations and administration tasks for the VAS platforms that support critical services with major financial and image impact. You will also handle VAS related Work Orders, new VAS equipment and services acceptances.

what you will be doing:
• quick incidents analyze and solve on VAS platforms
• develop scripts/programs in order to improve VAS platforms monitoring
• perform acceptance tests
• work orders execution and create/execute scheduled work
• user management on VAS platforms
• find solution to solve/prevent incidents on VAS platforms
• take part to audits and offer requested details
• launch in production new VAS platforms or introduce new functionalities on existing platforms
• follow work procedures related to activities/responsibilities from VAS area
• solve tickets issued by CSD or SMC
• validation from operational view (monitoring, operating procedures) of new VAS platforms
• create reports regarding VAS platforms KPI and incident reports
• activity reports
what you know and will be working with:
• Training in GSM, signaling and date transfer protocols
• IP routing
• Solid knowledge in Unix operating systems and database
• Good knowledge of Operation & Maintenance specific processes
• Fluent English
Working language(s): Romanian & English
Education: Informatics / Telecom degree
