Windows System Administrator

Orange Romania is looking for a colleague to be part of the Office Infrastructure team in charge of managing Microsoft services such as: Active Directory, Exchange, System Center, Lync, Hyper-V as well as Juniper, Bluecoat or NetApp appliances.

what you will be doing:

• Try out new tools and technologies and share your findings and best practices with the whole team
• Design system solutions based on requests and needs
• Server OS installation (Hyper-V, Microsoft Windows server), Service Packs, patch testing and deployment with WSUS and diagnose and troubleshooting operating systems problems
• Develop automation using PowerShell Scripting to automate repetitive tasks in the client environments
• Provide a second line technical response to customer requests for IT Support
• Review the environment and have initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improve performance
• Create system documentation
• Participate in rotating on call duty with team members

what you need to know


essential:

• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policies and PowerShell
• Good knowledge about Microsoft Products (System Center, Lync)
• Good knowledge and experience in working with and troubleshooting DNS, DHCP, WSUS, CA, IIS
• Experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
• Good understanding of high availability environments, cluster knowledge 
• Proficiency on Windows administration
• Advanced knowledge about virtualization solutions
• Good knowledge about network services, security, load balancer and IP networking
• Operational experience is mandatory

nice to have:

• Experience with NetApp storage 
• Experience with Microsoft SCOM and SCCM
• Experience with Citrix XenApp
• Knowledge about Database Administration (MSSQL)
• Knowledge about enterprise antivirus solutions (McAfee)
