    Your responsibilities:

    Autoliv, a world leader in the development and production of automotive safety systems, is currently looking to fill the role of a Project Engineer Leader in the Seatbelt Project Management Group to support one of our major customers from our Brasov facility. 

    The successful candidate will be part of a global cross-functional team (CFT) including customer, R&D, operations, procurement, and quality.

    The candidate will be the primary customer contact for all engineering issues during the Autoliv product development cycle.

    Must understand problem-solving techniques to support in development phases design and production concerns within our plants and at our customer.

    The Project Engineer Leader should possess a strong attention to detail and desire to work in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    •      Primarily responsible for the design and development of seatbelt systems to meet all automaker specifications and governmental safety standards.
    • Coordinate design and development in accordance with the Autoliv Product Development to meet all critical customer and manufacturing milestones.
    • Primary technical interface to Project Manager and internal and external customers.
    • Prepare and maintain robust engineering documents including FMEA, DVP&R, Design Guidelines Document (DGD) and drawings.
    • Directing design team to properly package product in CAD vehicle environment, releasing BOM’s and drawings.
    • Coordinate and lead all required tolerance stack-ups and design studies to ensure proper interface with vehicle environment.
    • Coordinate all testing and production validation (product robustness) to meet occupant injury and product performance criteria per established Autoliv, customer and/or regulatory requirements.
    • Support all prototype part builds both internally and at the customer, as required.

    Your Profile
    • Must have Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • Must have minimum 1-3 years' Automotive Engineering experience (Seatbelt experience preferred)
    • MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
    • CATIA V5 knowledge is a plus
    • Must have English language skills
    • German language skills are a plus
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability and willingness to travel
