QA Engineer - Amdaris

JOB PURPOSE

You will play an important role in the development of new IT applications. By working closely with developers, you will be expected to understand what each product is meant to do, its key features and users. You will also be required to create a quality assurance process, balancing the requirement for more predictable software development schedules with the need to maintain a vibrant and motivated team.
In your capacity as QA, you will carry out a wide range of tasks, including functional, customer scenario, stress, performance, scalability and international testing. Due to the technical nature of the role, having a strong understanding of one or more querying languages, such as SQL, and programming languages, such as PHP and .NET, would be advantageous.

KEY SKILLS:

• 1+ years' testing or programming experience
• Strong knowledge of testing principles, concepts and techniques
• Ability to provide results without any supervision
• Experience of bug tracking systems
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Experience in agile software testing
• Experience working in continuous integration and continuous delivery environments
• Team player with strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills 

• Analyse user stories for full non-ambiguous requirements
• Managing defects by recording, reporting, analysing and tracking to resolution
• Communicating with developers and clients to solve issues
• Writing test plans, complete with time estimates for completion by yourself and/or others
• Performing functional and regression testing
• Configure test environment
• Maintaining and improving existing automated tests, and adding new ones as appropriate

• Experience of automated testing (especially Selenium Webdriver, CodedUI, SoapUI)
• Experience of performance and load testing
• Experience of working with TDD/BDD
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another engineering discipline
