    Requirements

    Essential:

    - Knowledge of ITIL Service Management methodology, and specifically Continual Service Improvement;

    - Experience of running improvement initiatives and delivering quantified benefits to the organisation;

    - Strong communication and inter-personal skills;

    - Demonstrates ability to lead teams successfully;

    - Basic level of Project Management experience including knowledge of PRINCE II methodology.

    Desirable:

    - Knowledge/experience of Lean Six Sigma methodology;

    - Educated to Degree level or equivalent;

    - PRINCE II foundation level

    Skills:

    - Excellent English skills, both written and verbal;

    - Excellent interpersonal skills especially communication and presentation skills;

    - Able to establish relationships and maintain contacts with people from a wide variety of backgrounds;

    - Enthusiastic, pragmatic and self-managing;

    - Able to manage resources to optimize efficiency, by identifying goals and objectives and motivating others towards their achievement;

    - Problem solving capability, able to analyse complex information and propose realistic solutions;

    - Familiar with the structure and position in the organisation of the functions or departments for which services are provided;

    - Ensures that quality procedures and standards are adhered to and effectively maintained and controlled;

    - Ability to influence and encourage engagement of the MS Delivery organization in the business change activity;

    - Co-operates with those responsible in own organisation for developing products and services that will help the customer organisation to achieve its business objectives;

    - Ability to manage change in accordance to business priorities and bring along colleagues by promoting change as a positive way to improve business processes;

    Education: Preferably technical university degree or a similar qualification;

    Responsibilities

    - Analysis of operational information (statistics, problems, issues etc), to pro-actively identify improvement opportunities in working practices and services;

    - Manage improvement initiatives to deliver targeted savings/improvements, in adherence with the standard CSI process.

    - Lead/manage Workshops for problem solving, idea generation, lessons learnt etc to get greater engagement from the delivery teams;

    - Completion and presentation of proposals/business cases – both orally and in writing, to gain management buy-in and sign off of initiatives;

    - Applies standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way;

    - Produces a consistently high standard of documentation using the required standards, methodology and tools;

    - Works alone or as part of ad hoc team analysing underlying issues from investigations and proposes solutions/options for resolution/improvement;

    - Consults with specialists such as software and tools development, service support and other technical and process specialist areas as appropriate;

    - Management of ad hoc teams to drive continual improvement activities. Providing coaching, support and mentoring where necessary;

    - Co-ordinate and manage agreed transition activities through to completion and hand over responsibility for work transferred into the delivery team;

    - Supports senior management with the development of departmental and organisation strategic plans
