Software Development Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW 
· analysis and review of subsystem specifications and understand customer requirements;

· estimation of development cost taking into account mandatory quality requirements for software submission;

· daily tasks include all regular aspects of professional software development:

  – software design and development tasks;
  – preparation of sunny and rainy day test scenarios;
  – development of unitary tests and automated functional test cases;
  – code review sessions, static code analysis.

· investigate defects and bug reports, fix, analyze root cause as part of the product’s maintenance;

· test implementation;

· develop and execute automated test scripts.

Qualifications 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• technical experience of 1- 2 years in software development

• Fluent English, autonomy, team player, flexibility, quality mindset

• International mobility for Engineers

• At least Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or in Computer Engineering or in Electrical Engineering

• Good experience in Wireless Products (GSM, WCDMA or LTE)

• Familiar with GSM/WCDMA/LTE standards/protocols and GSM/WCDMA/LTE Access Products

• In depth skill of problem resolution and negotiation

• Good analysis skills / Ability to take decisions under pressure

• Very good communication skills / Ability to convince

• Radio Knowledge appreciated

• Core Network knowledge appreciated

• Basic scripting skills (Python Scripting / UNIX shell scripting / Windows Command Line), Basic IP / Telecom protocol stack

• Basic programming skills (C / C++/ Pascal / PHP / Perl or other language)

• Linux / Unix

• Embedded systems architectures is an advantage knowledge of design patterns, software quality metrics and static code analyzer

• experience in black-box testing and white-box testing for state machines

• experience with large systems software design and development

• understanding Agile development methodologies: test driven development, continuous integration, code coverage, code analysis
