Must have
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written;
• You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science;
• You have a minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering;
• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Architecture;
• You have strong analytical capabilities;
• You have knowledge of C++, C#.NET, PHP and/or Java;
• You have general data modelling knowledge and experience;
• You have knowledge of CMM or CMMi (preferred);
• You have experience with working in projects and with clear work break down structures;
• You are eager to learn and committed to your work;
• You do not have a nine to five mentality;
• You are a team player.

The Software Architect role
For our client’s software engineering team, located in Cluj, they are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Software Architect that has affinity with logistics and is looking forward to a fantastic challenge playing a key role in the process of a complete redesign of their in-house developed Transport Management System (TMS).

The first phase of the redesign process has just started. Currently they are focusing on improving their transport processes and properly document them in a professional modelling tool. This phase will take some time before they can start with the requirements analysis. In the meanwhile they will start preparing the new software development environment.

As a Software Architect you are responsible for the architecture of their new Transport Management System. You are responsible for the quality aspects common to effective and sustainable systems design. In more detail this means:
• Define an application framework and development standards
• Subdivide a complex application, into smaller, more manageable modules
• Understand the interactions between, and dependencies among components and other systems belonging to our client
• Choose the right tools to improve productivity and deliver quality
• Help our client to improve the overall quality of software development within their company by introducing effective methodologies like agile / scrum, CMM(i) etc.
• Guide the group of software engineers
• Make sure that you and the software engineers adopt common software engineering principles that make the new system sustainable
