QA - BI Software Engineer

Our client is looking for a DW Tech QA-BI Software Engineer who will be a key member of the Real Time Data Warehouse team, responsible for providing automated functional and non-functional testing of new code delivered by the developers.

Requirements:
- You have good working knowledge of SQL Server (complex joins, data modelling, data mapping, T-SQL development skills are required);
- Experience in Quality Assurance and BI;
- Data Warehousing / ETL Testing and / or data analytics it’s a plus;
- You will aquire knowledge of DW testing process including data selection from multiple source systems and analysis that follows, inconsistent and redundant data in a data warehouse, loss of data during the ETL process, performance of a DW.

Responsibilities:
- You create test programs to assure quality, and develop or implement test tools to increase effectiveness and efficiency;
- Participate in the design and review of test plans and schedules;
- You help define and progress test procedures for functional testing, system testing, integration testing, boundary testing, negative testing, user testing, stress testing, performance testing, scalability testing, and localized product testing;
- You automate manual and regression test cases;
- You prepare, through test, a functional product for release;
- You methodically write test scripts and defect assessment reports;
- You assess product functionality, usability and fitness for purpose against predefined specifications and requirements.
