    Requirements

    Essential Qualifications

    1. Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or related discipline.
    2. 5-10 years’ experience in industrial equipment or instrument design or other detailed 'hands-on' product-related work.
    3. Electronic hardware engineering experience in a product development or sustaining engineering environment.
    4. Good communication and influencing skills; ability to work within a cross-functional environment.
    5. Able to travel internationally to other Honeywell locations or to suppliers or customers as required.
    6. English speaking (80-85% proficiency).

    Preferred Qualifications

    1. Experience in the field of measurement instruments or electronic meters is an advantage.
    2. A Six Sigma green belt or black belt is an advantage.
    3. A track record in successfully running engineering projects through to delivery.

    Responsibilities

    The job requires a results-driven problem solver with an understanding of the technical aspects of the design of Honeywell products and a knowledge of the manufacturing processes used in their production. Specifically:

    1. Resolution of customer or field issues using Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) techniques.
    2. Analysis of 'line-down' and yield issues in the factories.
    3. Identification and documentation of Value Engineering (VE) opportunities and construction of projects to exploit them.
    4. Addressing component obsolescence issues to avoid interruptions to the delivery of products.
    5. Documenting, monitoring and reporting Sustaining and VE activities.
    6. Participating in the assessment and prioritization of requests for VE and Sustaining Engineering resources and planning the necessary project activities to implement the chosen projects.
    7. Constructing test plans designed to ensure that products still met requirements after design changes are made.
    8. Working through test plans and documenting the results.
    9. Completing the required engineering change documents to make changes in a controlled manner.
    10. Escalation of issues that require action outside of the immediate sphere of activity.
