We're most interested in people who have strong background in Computer Science, are good with algorithms, can demonstrate they're passionate about their work, want to share their success and to keep learning.
     
    Responsibilities:

    • help understand and characterize performance of the system
    • analyze metrics and trends to highlight performance opportunities for improvements
    • Design, build and test SQL scripts, functions and stored procedures to support application needs
    • document all database objects, technical procedures, test plans and other elements.
    • collaborate to determine how current processing methods can be optimized, scaled, and improved
    • provide informed feedback for database design and data model decisions

    Required Professional and Technical Expertise 
    • degree in Computer Science or other related field
    • desire to profile and analyze software and hardware performance to achieve optimum results
    • proven technical experience with database systems and SQL 
    • understanding of SQL execution and explain plans
    • 3 years of working experience in a relational database environment (DB2, SQL Server)
    • good English skills
    Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise 
    • background in performance testing, optimization or monitoring
    • experience in identifying bottlenecks for scalability and performance
    • working knowledge of operating system performance tools
    • knowledge of a scripting language to automate and drive performance experiments
    • exposure to graph or other NoSQL databases
