Reporting Developer

The Reporting Developer will be working within the Sales Operations Global Business Intelligence organization. This organization is responsible for delivering a solid platform for WW business to work productively and effectively on by migrating from the current one. The team in which the Report Developer will be working is a professional and dedicated one, fully focused on migrating from an existing set of tools/ technologies and will focus a lot of effort in migrating or recreating existing solutions in a go fwd set of technologies. Its purpose is to re-create BI solutions/reports based on this environment, at Global level but also in the countries/sub-regions and alignment with World Wide initiatives under strong IT guidance.

Requirements

- Educated to Bachelor degree level, preferably in the Computer Science or Economic field;
- Strong, proven English language skills – both verbal and written;
- Experience in report development is a plus;
- Microsoft SQL Server knowledge, understanding of databases;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge;
- QlikView and SAP Business Objects knowledge is a plus ;
- Experience in other development environments is a plus (SharePoints, etc);
- Ability to work both independently or in a team and to show initiative;
- Acountability for tasks assigned;
- Strong analytic thinking;
- Good communication skills (questioning, listening, presentation & negotiation skills);
- Customer oriented – keep customer always in mind;
- Goal Oriented;
- Hardworking, honest, team player.

Responsibilities:

- Works in a project team under the guidance of a reporting project manager; is expected to work well in this set-up to ensure excellent teamwork is maintained;
- Ensures that customer/ project deadlines are met and if these are not realistic informs the project manager upfront what the realistic deadlines are and agrees these with the project manager & customer;
- Ensures the quality of reports is excellent and that they are reliable and can be produced consistently;
- Collaborates with the project manager and project team to ensure the goals agreed are being reached and the appropriate infrastructure is used;
- Performs as a report development specialist and is able to produce reports to meet customers’ requirements, using appropriate technical solutions in the background;
- Migrate existing complex, high quality, scalable and extendable reporting solutions with minimal re-design and re-development;
- Re-Develop customized solutions to link data, show in specific layouts, store, locate, and retrieve documents, data, and information;
- Ad-hoc assessment technology and capabilities , document findings, identify areas for improvement and create specifications to be further considered by IT;
- Ensure that the solutions migrated/ developed are documented and necessary knowledge is transferred toward the BI operational owner who ensure the recurrent maintenance of those solutions;
- Ensure technical feasibility checks for new projects or report requests create a proposal and give potential timeframes for development activities.
