DevOps Engineer

• 5+ years of experience in installation, configuration, testing and patching of operating systems, web servers, application servers, databases, proxy servers, etc.
• Strong experience with Linux server administration:
o Linux system administration of production environments
o Web server configuration and troubleshooting (e.g. Apache, Tomcat, Nginx)
o Scripting Languages (e.g. Ruby, Python, Bash etc.)
• Strong MySQL Database Administration skills
• Comfortable with executing SQL commands
• Backup and recovery procedures
• Strong experience with provisioning tools (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc.)
• Experience with cloud computing (e.g. AWS, Rackspace, Azure etc.)
• Experience with open source tools including monitoring and alerting frameworks.
• Knowledge of IP networking and use of network devices such as Firewalls, Load Balancers, Switches etc.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. PHP, Java etc)
• Knowledge of continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo etc)
• Knowledge of system administration procedures
• Availability for on-call schedule.
• Prior experience in helping clients through the decision-making process.
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direction.
• Must be fluent in English and Romanian, written and verbal communications





Bonus Experience:

• Industry certifications in related technologies (AWS, RedHat, LPIC, MySQL etc.)
• Knowledge of Memcached, Redis, SolR etc.
• E-commerce, CMS or similar web experience is preferred (e.g. Magento, Hybris, Drupal etc)

• Systems Administration for a wide range of virtual servers (Linux and Windows), network devices (Firewall, Load Balancers, VPN, NAT etc) and associated services
o Administer devices in a high performance, high availability production setting
o Working with our support group to maintain applications operating at the highest levels of performance
o Participate in root cause analysis of any non-application-related system fault
o Creation, implementation and maintenance of common operations infrastructure such as centralized systems monitoring and alerting, consolidated logging, intrusion detection and capacity planning.
o Manage and enforce day-to-day operational tasks like log analysis, log rotation, web analytics and resource monitoring.
o Assist in the investigation of operations and security incidents
o Advise application developers of current threats and trends and assist with application remediation.
• Participate in designing the infrastructure for web based application farms on physical or virtualized / cloud environments.
• Handle and resolve issues escalated from the production environments on an on-call basis
• Troubleshoot pre- and post-production implementations, security, load balancing and performance
• Mentor more junior staff members and be a role model for best practices in technical development.
• Analyze client business needs and recommend innovative solutions that leverage technology to provide better application performance and cost reduction.
