QA Automation Engineer

Our office is located in the Northern part of Bucharest (near Aurel Vlaicu subway station).

About your education
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred, but PhD from the school of hard knocks could work too

About you
• 3+ years of proven experience in quality assurance and white/gray-box testing in various projects
• Experience testing applications in Agile environments, with test automation frameworks
• Very good knowledge of software testing fundamentals, including concepts of positive and negative testing, exploratory testing, smoke and acceptance testing etc.
• Proven experience in testing web services / REST APIs
• Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ambitious and self-driven
• Great team player
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Your technical skills
• Basic experience developing and running performance tests using JMeter, SOASTA or Blazemeter.
• Experience with test automation frameworks for web (e.g. Selenium 2/Webdriver, Thucydides, TestNG, REST-assured) and/or mobile (on iOS / Android / Windows)

Nice to have
• Mobile development skills on Windows (TypeScript);
• Basic Amazon Web Services (AWS) know-how: S3, DynamoDB, CDN.

• Create, run and maintain test cases and test plans for various product features
• Write automated test cases using the test automation frameworks in place (with an option to add features/tests to the tools)
• Conduct functional, workflow and end-to-end tests for complex product features
• Report, isolate, track and drive software defects to closure
• Client-server testing on different company clients
• Functionality tests, Web tests, mobile, GUI, sanity, regression
• Writing testing documents
• Post production tests
• Configuration in XML files in order to test texts, languages, changing environments configuration
• Run performance and scalability tests in a highly distributed environment
• Work as part of a highly motivated Scrum team in very short release cycles (2 - 3 weeks)
