Knowledge and experience

Technical profile

Excellent understanding of .NET / C# environment;
Experience of Unit Testing & Continuous Integration frameworks;
A background in Mathematics is a Nice to Have;
Tools: Visual Studio, GitHub, Jenkins, Sonar;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Mission

Within ITEC department (IT for the Investment Bank), you will work on a critical application for the warrants and certificates business.

Issuing Workflows is responsible of the listed products automated issuance process. In a competitive market, the number of issuances increased drastically over the last few years (close to 300 000 products were issued in 2015), and the need of more automated processes (delisting, maturity) is rising in order to cope with the volumes.

Issuing Workflows is used by traders, sales person, and middle-office in all the major European countries, and Honk-Kong.

The team is composed of 6 developers and 3 Business Analysts. You will be working in a challenging environment, with a strong focus on code quality and automated testing (unit tests, BDD).

You will build a close relationship with the French team (spend a few weeks with us in La Defense, weekly meetings with video conference capability, usage of webcams, etc).

Responsibilities

Assist the Business Analysts with your coding expertise;
Develop new features for our clients;
Ensure the delivery of high quality solutions;
Assure the corrective maintenance and the quality assurance;
Provide Level 2 production support;
Drive innovation by coming up with new ideas for our products and processes;
Point out issues with the existing architectures and codes on different projects, followed by active involvement in order to clean it up.

The Shared Service Center for IT (SSC-IT) of SG EBS is a new organization that started early in 2014 to provide Société Générale Group IT Services. A large part of our team is integrated into the IT department (ITEC) of the Investment Bank of Societe Generale - GBIS for Global Banking and Investor Solutions. We are currently extending the team to work with all business lines of Société Générale Group: French retail bank, international retail bank and insurance services, and corporate IT systems.
