Skills Required:
- Good knowledge of Layer2 networking (MAC forwarding, Vlans, Private-vlans, dot1q trunking, portchannels static/LACP, Spanning-tree protocols, etc)
- Good knowledge of L3 networking (ARP, Static Routes, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, BGP, etc)
- Knowledge of multicast protocols (IGMP snooping, IGMP relay, PIM)
- Knowledge of management/security protocols (Telnet, HTTP/HTTPs, SNMP, Radius, TACACS, SSH, etc)
- Knowledge of a scripting language (TCL, Pearl, PHP)

- The CCNA/CCNP certification is a plus.
- Knowledge in testing methodology (ISTQB) is a plus.
- Experience with traffic generator tools (IXIA, Spirent) is a plus.
- Previous software testing experience is a plus.

- Participate in test-plan creation, topology creation, executing the manual/automation testing, opening the defects, verifying the defects on a new software image.
- Perform functional testing, regression testing, system testing
- Provide information to developers to reproduce the defects
- Recreate the defects reported by customers
