C++ Developer

Job Requirements:

1. Must have:
• Bachelor’s Degree or student in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field of study
• Fluency in English
• Experience developing native C++ Windows applications
• Knowledge of Object Oriented programming and familiarity with Design Patterns
• Proficient with Visual Studio 2010/2012
2. Nice to have:
• Experience developing with boost, STL and C++11
• Experience with Big Data, AWS, RESTful services, C#, WPF, SQL - a plus
• Experience building enterprise class software leveraging complex data structures optimized for performance
• Familiar with Agile Scrum methodologies

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop high quality, stable code for use in products and solutions for customers
• Ensure new code conforms to established coding standards
• Ensure codes can be seamlessly localized for other languages
• Document new code and features developed, including changes to existing code
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure proper documentation on features and interoperability within the entire system
• Maintain, troubleshoot and debug code, as required
• Test newly developed features to ensure proper functioning
• Participate in developing test plans, including regression tests, for newly developed software or feature
• Ensure new code, feature or software product meets performance goals and does not adversely impact the performance of existing subsystems. (May use performance analysis tools to test subsystem before integration with larger system.)
• Resolve existing feature defects logged by customers or support and document all changes made
• Understand and help refine functional requirements for new products or upgrades
• Contribute to cost-benefit analysis by providing cost input for the features and determine feasibility of each feature
• (May) interface with Product Support and customer groups to find out how customers are using products in order to better understand customer issues and provide input to future product design
• Create low level software designs prior to coding
• Research and analyze existing legacy architecture and software code to understand the code at both the low-level and higher architectural level for making enhancements or resolving defects and performance
