Junior C++ Software Developer

Good understanding of C/C++, .NET programming language
Logical thinking and ability to resolve programming problems
Ability to develop under different operating systems: WINDOWS or Solaris
Practical experience with either Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase databases.
Theoretical knowledge of algorithms, basic software engineering and Client-Server interaction
Graduate or final year student with a desire to pursue a career as a Software Developer on complex enterprise level software

The team
The Misys Bucharest center is an important pillar in the global Misys development. With over 400 employees at Sema Park (Petrache Poenaru subway station), we focus on development and consultancy. The Development & QA department represents more the half of our staff here: we work on maintaining and developing features for our award winning software: Sophis, Summit, Kondor +.

The Role:
You will be a part of a young and proficient worldwide team of professionals that want to make Misys the number one financial software solution in the world. You will have the possibility to work from day one on enterprise level programs that will be used from the Wall Street market to the banks in Asia. You do not need to have financial knowledge to be a part of the development team, a good practices code writing training and an onboarding mentor will be provided to you.

The Products:
Sophis - offers a single solution to the many challenges faced by modern derivatives trading desks. It brings an integrated approach to the complex challenges of derivatives trading, risk management and trade processing.
Summit - is a proven, award-winning solution in the OTC derivatives market. It offers a functionally rich core trading solution for treasury and capital markets that supports business growth, improves straight-through processing, and shortens time to market while reducing costs.
Kondor - is a best of breed trading system. It brings you the ability to trade high volumes of treasury while offering the flexibility to support more complex derivatives, options and structured trades.
Programming environment : All of the software above are developed using mostly C++, C#, SQL, Perl. We use different versions of Visual Studio and Oracle, Sybase and MySQL databases. Our OS are: x86, x64, Linux, Solaris

Responsibilities:
As a member of the Development & QA team your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Designing new features across the Misys products
Provide maintenance for existing projects
Investigate technical and functional defects and propose adequate solutions
Bug fixing and development for cross-platform software (server - solaris/ linux/ windows, client - windows).
